At 5:02 p.m. on June 15, 2019, a call went into San Bernardino County Sheriff Big Bear station reporting a three vehicle traffic collision on Big Bear Boulevard and Stanfield Cutoff. Shortly thereafter, Medic Truck 283 from Sugarloaf and Medical Ambulance 282 from Big Bear City arrived on scene. One patient with minor injuries was transported to Bear Valley Community Hospital.

According to witness statements on the scene, a silver Mercedes was stopped at the traffic light when a blue Suburban was rear ended by a white Ford Expedition, which pushed the Suburban into the Mercedes. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
