VIDEO REPORT: Vehicle Recovered from 570 feet over the Side of Highway 18

Two weeks ago, a vehicle went 570 feet over the side of Highway 18 near call box 192.

Today, Sarah Sue’s Trucking, out of Riverside, was using a heavy duty recovery tow truck to recover this vehicle. Workers climbed down hundreds of feet to hook cables to the vehicle and pull it up with winches.

Lanes are open but Motorists are slowing to look at the scene. Be careful driving through the narrows as cars are suddenly stopping to watch.

  1. Did they buy the logs from behind the Lake Gregory Dam to make the newer pieces of furniture?

    • They get the logs from all over the mountain. Whenever people drop trees they usually call them and let them know that they have wood for them. You should swing by there shopping Running Springs on Highway 18 next to the 76 gas station and check out what they have. It’s amazing what they do.
