On February 1st at 2:38 multiple calls went into 911 dispatch reporting a solo vehicle over the side on Highway 18 just below Cactus Flats. A white Sienna was traveling unbound 18 from Apple Valley to Big Bear. The driver lost control going around a corner and went off the roadway coming to rest on a large Boulder. The male driver was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. His passenger and dog were shaken, but uninjured. A Performance Tow recovered the vehicle. California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
