Single Vehicle Rollover Snarls Evening Commute On Highway 330

On Monday at approximately 4:58 pm, a single vehicle rollover was reported on downbound Highway 330 just below the middle passing lanes. CHP and Fire Units from Running Springs (Squad 51 & CalFIRE Engine 3556) and Crestline (Medic Ambulance 26) arrived on scene to find a red SUV on its roof and the driver, who was able to self-extricate, suffering from minor injuries. Medic Engine 228 from San Bernardino was also dispatched but was canceled en route. Ambulances from Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead were transporting patients from other incidents and were unavailable to respond. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The highway was closed in both directions for approximately 15 minutes to upright the vehicle and clean-up the road debris. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
