Running Springs Farmers Market Goes All Summer Long

The weekly Running Springs Farmers Market and Artisan Faire is up and running full speed for the rest of the summer. This Community event takes place every Saturday for the rest of the summer until September 18th. From 10am to 2pm, vendors, food, crafts and family fun can be had at the Farmers Market, located at 2645 Whispering Pines Dr in Running Springs.

This is the 8th year that the local event has taken place, and it continues to grow every year. Located in the heart of Running Springs you will find “No pesticide” home grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, Cage- Free Eggs, bread, honey, jams, and much more. You can find over 50 vendors every Saturday ranging from various art, clothing, food, drinks, snacks, entertainment, live music and more.

Every Saturday the vendors change and rotate in order to give guest a different experience each time they visit. The Running Springs Farmers Market and each vendor there is a certified with County approved permits and inspections.

The farmers at the market sell all current “in-season” products. As a special treat every last Saturday of the month, Sky Park and Snow Valley hold an annual promotion with the market. If a guest spends $25.00 they receive a day pass to one of the chosen parks.

Locals and travelers are welcome to bring their pets to enjoy a fun filled day in the beautiful mountains. Activities, entertainment, vendors and contest coincide with the different themes every weekend. Saturday June 8th was animal day at the market. Animal day featured pet themed contests and activities as well as animal themed vendors and vendors for animal adoption organizations.

In addition to the fantastic vendors, every month The Running Springs Farmers Market and Artisan Faire chooses a non-profit organization. The chosen non-profit organization is given a space for free, donated by the market to be vendor to promote their organization. Another amazing contribution The Farmers Market provides for the community is food donations from the Farmers for local churches. Any items that are leftover after the event are sent to Local Church Food Banks for those in the community who are in need.

The field for the space of the Farmers Market is donated by a local business to help the operation of the Farmers Market. Generous donations from The Running Springs Golden Oaks Senior Center offset costs to keep The Running Spring Farmers Market and Artisan Faire operating. The Running Springs Chamber of Commerce oversees the market with the hard work and help of the Market Manager, Susan Heisler and Event Organizer, Cathy Clemens.
