On the evening of Friday, July 26th, the Rim Of The World Recreation and Park District presented their Family Movie Night. This family-friendly community event is free to the public. The Movie Night takes place at the Lake Gregory Education and Community Center on select Fridays throughout the summer. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. It is important to remember to not bring outside food or drinks, and alcohol is not permitted. Audiences will enjoy a free, family-friendly movie from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as free popcorn.

Rim of the World Recreation and Park District kicked off their first Family Movie Night on June 28th with Disney’s 2019 remake of Dumbo, followed by How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World on July 26th, which were enjoyed by moviegoers of all ages. This event is a great opportunity for the community to come together, create memories with each other, and get to know their neighbors.

If you missed any of these feature films, don’t worry; Rim of The World Recreation and Park District is hosting another Family Movie Night on August 30th, held at The Lake Gregory Recreation and Community Center. The staff are hoping they can hold the next screening outside on the baseball field, so they can create something spectacular and memorable for all the movie lovers in our beautiful mountain community.
