Devin didn’t consider joining military until he was in high school. He originally enlisted as an MP -Military Police. Although he enjoyed law enforcement, he became interested in working in the embassies. As a MSG he has enjoyed traveling to other countries, meeting the Ambassadors and top officials, such as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Mike Pompeo.

Dawn says that Devin doesn’t like being away from family. When he was stationed at Camp Pendleton as an MP, she saw him often. Once he entered the MSG program, it was a three-year commitment and she did not see him at all.

Dawn says, “when my son is serving overseas, I feel that I am serving here on the homefront. As a Blue Star Mom, we partner with many charities to serve our community, as well as sending care packages to our own children. It is an honor. I am a proud Marine mom, love God, and my country.”
