At 6:43 pm, San Bernardino County Fire responded to reports of a motorcycle crash on Highway 18. The location given was up-bound 18, at the 4000 foot level. The 4000 foot level is the very large turnout on the up-bound side approximately one mile before the Crestline Bridge where the Life Flight Chopper lands on occasion.
Bystanders moved the crashed motorcycle and stood by with the rider until responding units arrived. CHP, Medic Engine 25 and Medic Ambulance 25 arrived on scene within minutes. The rider declined medical assistance. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
