Rider Escapes Motorcycle Crash on 18 with Minor Injuries

At 12:41 p.m. on May 17th, 2018, Emergency Services were dispatched to an injury motorcycle accident on Highway 18 at mile marker 12.42. This location is approximately 2 miles south of upper Waterman Canyon Road.

San Bernardino County Sheriffs were on scene directing traffic and San Bernardino County Fire dispatched fire engines and an ambulance. Units dispatched included Medic Engine 26, Medic Engine 227 and Medic Ambulance 91.

The rider was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Unconfirmed reports at the scene indicate that speed may have been a factor.

Lane number 2 on the down bound Highway 18 was blocked while emergency Personnel waited for a tow truck to clean up the accident scene.

At 1:15 p.m., the road was clear and both lanes were open.
