At 8:23 a.m. the California Highway Patrol received reports of a solo vehicle accident on Live Oak Drive. The vehicle reportedly hit a power pole and overturned.
Mountain Auto Service got the dispatch to tow the vehicle and the driver was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center.
During the accident the power pole was damaged and lines were reportedly hanging too low to allow vehicles to pass underneath.
At 10:29 am, County Roads arrived on scene with signs and instituted a hard closure for an undetermined amount of time while Edison is enroute to replace the damaged pole. Unknown if there will be power outages and unknown the expected duration of this closure. By 11: 30am, Edison had arrived on scene with a new power pole. Repairs are expected to be completed and Live Oak reopened by 11pm.
