At 2:20 Pm on April 12th a solo motorcycle crash occurred on Highway 18 Near Cactus Flats. According to witnesses on scene the motorcycle was traveling upbound 18 at approximately 80 Mph when the rider lost control when attempting to pass another vehicle. An off duty Anaheim Fire Captain stopped to render aid. Medic Ambulance 284 Baldwin Lake arrived on scene and requested patient be flown out. H285 transported the patient to a near by hospital. It is unclear if the rider was cited. California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation
