Passersby Lift Motorcycle Off Rider After Crash

At 6:29 pm on Saturday, multiple reports of a solo motorcycle accident went in to CHP dispatch.

According to witness statements at the scene, the rider was traveling east bound at a high rate of speed on North Shore Drive in Fawnskin when he lost control of his three wheeled motorcycle and ended up on side of the road in the bushes. Good samaritans stopped at the scene to render aid and found the rider trapped under the motorcycle. They lifted the bike off of his leg and stayed with him until paramedics arrived on scene.

Medic Ambulance 281 from Big Bear Lake transported the Orange County man to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Medic Engine 96 from Fawnskin and Medic Engine 281 from Big Bear Lake provided traffic control until CHP arrived.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation at this time. The extent of the rider’s injuries are unknown.
