Overheating Car on 330 Prompts Fire Response

At 2:57 p.m., on 5/16/18, the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car fire on Highway 330. The location given was upbound Highway 330 just before the middle passing Lane.

The vehicle description given was a blue sedan and the vehicle was reportedly blocking the upbound lanes. It was unknown at the time if there was any injuries but the reporting party stated there was lots of smoke.

San Bernardino County Fire responded to the scene. At 3:16 p.m., CHP Dispatch reported that fire units onscene were advising that it was only an overheating vehicle that prompted the response.
