Each year on the Saturday before Halloween, unless Halloween falls on a Saturday, the Crestline Chamber of Commerce and Crestline merchants host a family-friendly Trick or Treat event. The festivities usually draw a large crowd and this year was no exception.

More than 500 kids and their parents participated in this year’s fun. Sixty merchants along Crest Forest Drive in Top Town and Lake Drive in Lake Gregory handed out candy to the ghouls, ghosts and goblins. The Crestline merchants organize the Trick or Treating on the Saturday before Halloween as a safe alternative to nighttime door-to-door Trick or Treating when Halloween does not fall on a Saturday.

In addition to handing out candy, local businesses and community organizations hosted games and crafts for Trick or Treaters.

Halloween falls on a Thursday next year, so the next Crestline Merchants Trick or Treat will be on Saturday, October 26, 2019. For more information, contact the Crestline-Lake Gregory Chamber of Commerce.
