At 9: 07 a.m. The California Highway Patrol received reports of a two-car accident on Lake Drive at the intersection of Thousand Pines Road.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and airbags were deployed however no injuries were reported. Traffic was temporarily blocked until units arrived. Mountain Auto Service was dispatched by the CHP to recover the vehicles and clean up the accident scene. Two trucks responded and the intersection was cleared by 9: 40 a.m.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
