Mountain High School Makes Gift Bags for Students

During the month of March, the staff of Mountain High School decided that they needed a way to make a better connection with the students who had been on Distance Learning the whole year as a lot of them were not showing up to their zoom meetings or not completing work.  The staff decided to make and distribute gift bags for each student.  We bought maroon bags (school color) and wrote the students’ names on them, purchased aluminum water bottles with the school logo, school logo stickers, some sweet treats and snacks, and a card hand signed by all the staff members.  We attached little sayings to the treats like, “Do your best, smarty pants!” attached to some smarties.

Once the bags were completed, the staff hand-delivered the bags to their houses using masks and social distancing, and it was wonderful to see the students in person and chat with them for a bit on the doorstep.  The best thing has been having the students back in person for the last two weeks and seeing them bring their water bottles and sporting their school stickers on their cars and folders.  We feel that we have shared the Mountain High love and are bringing back some school spirit!
