At 8:48 a.m. on Saturday, May 26th, 2018, California Highway Patrol recieved reports of a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident. The location was reportedly somewhere near Barton Flats on Highway 38. Call box 303 near mile marker 29 on Highway 38 was a reference point which is located just east of Jenks Lake Road.
Traffic was stopped in both directions on the 38. The motorcycle rider sustained moderate injuries in the crash. The occupants of the other vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, were uninjured.
CHP arrived at 9:06 a.m. and began controlling traffic. Fire and medical services arrived at 9:17 a.m. The motorcycle rider’s hip was dislocated and he sustained a significant back injury. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.
A&D towing was dispatched to clear the scene. As of 10:33 a.m., the roadway was clear.
