Man Hits Mountain Sunday on Highway 18

On June 30th just after noon, CHP received multiple reports of an incident involving a solo vehicle vs mountain on Highway 18, mile marker 3550, just above Snow Valley Ski Resort.

Roger, a 28 year old man from Los Angeles, was traveling upbound on Highway 18, when a white pickup truck reportedly came over the double yellow lines, forcing Roger to swerve and hit the mountain. When reporters first arrived on the scene, Roger was leaning over his steering wheel and paramedics were called as a precaution. The driver declined medical treatment at the scene. A-Performance Towing arrived on scene to recover the vehicle. The exact cause of the crash is unknown. California Highway Patrol was on scene conducting their investigation.
