At 2:56 p.m. the California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert on Interstate 15. This was for the northbound 15 at Cleghorn Road. The number 2, 3 and 4 lanes were blocked causing traffic to be diverted up to the mountain communities along Highway 18. From approximately 4:30 p.m. until the publishing of this article traffic was backed up on highway 138 all the way down the highway 18 and then down to Mormon Road.
The Sigalert was issued with a duration “unknown”, therefore it is unknown how long this traffic backup will last. Motorists are encouraged to take the narrows to Lake Gregory drive to access Crestline.
