Local Residents Take Charge Aiding Camp Fire Victims

Locals from our mountain communities are banding together to aid in the relief effort for the victims of the northern California Camp Fire. T Marie Castillo is currently on the search for a large list of items that she is going to transport directly to the victims.

Ms. Castillo has been a resident of our community for over 9 years. She got involved with the relief effort herself after seeing Frank Hilscher of Sexy Panda Food Truck out there feeding those affected. T Marie Castillo immediately began giving him for food and blankets for the survivors. She also states that the pivotal moment was when she heard the song Love Wins by Carrie Underwood come on the radio, she recalls hitting the floor in tears and knew she had to help in any way possible.

Since then, Frank Hilscher along with Alex Hader and Julz Statler have created a charity organization called Angels Among Us. They are working around the clock to provide aid in many ways to all affected by the Camp Fire.

There are many locals here in our community already on board helping. A huge thank you to; Janice DeBard, Same Lorraine, Conrad Sernka, Wanda Granger-Eddy, and Bill and Linda from Bill’s Villager in Blue Jay. We have posted the list below of items needed.
