King Fire Burns 11.2 Acres near Highland

Just after 11: 30 a.m. A fire was reported to 911 in the Highland area east of the 330 freeway off of Greenspot Road.

Fire Crews took a very aggressive stance as three helicopters one aircraft and dozens of hand Crews infiltrated the burn area. Within 40 minutes, there was a phos-check line around the fire and hand Crews were already digging a line around the burn area.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and it is believed to have burned 11.2 acres. The fire was live streamed on the Mountain Reporter Facebook page and below is a link to video of the aftermath of the fire.
