Kdog’s Daily Report, 03/04/19

Good morning, marvelous Monday motorists!

Today’s menu includes fog, with a side of light rain. Drinks will be without ice… can’t get anything on the rocks, today. However, regarding today’s special of fog: it’s presented in a moderate fashion, with alternating patches of clarity. It’s never heavy, but is indeed garnished with occasional sprinkles during the commute. Plan to finish by just below Upper Waterman Canyon Road’s exit, as dessert, consisting of dry roads and visual clarity will be served immediately afterwards.

Monday, March 4 is National Grammar day… so be celebrate!

“Grammar” is a favorite word of mine, simply because it reminds me of a conversation I had years ago with an English teacher. We were casually arguing over how well a certain sentence was constructed, when the teacher said to me, “Look, the bottom line is that it is NOT grammarically correct!”

Talk about a glorious win for me.

And, speaking of glorious win, a shout-out needs to be given to a guy named Ty Holifield. I don’t have a lot of details, but, what I DO know is that at some time in the past few days, Mr. Holifield did make vanish some of the visual vitiation produced by vandalistic vermin… he was able to attack that gaudy red heart and make it disappear from the rock on Highway 138 downhill from Top Town. To you, Mr. Holifield, we tip a hat, raise a cheer, offer a toast, and salute you!

Oh, and another shout-out is due today: I dined with my family at the Crestline Cafe yesterday. Now, the food was delicious (try the grilled cheese sandwich… they are NOT skimpy with the good stuff!), the service outstanding, and the ambience perfect… AS EXPECTED. However, one of the members of our party, they guy who wears my boxers, left his $1000 cell device sitting on the table (if only there were, like, maybe some sort of belt-clip device for those things…). It was about two hours later when the missing device was missed by boxer guy. However, the good people there saved it for me, and returned it to me the moment I returned. Thank-you Crestline Cafe, and your great crew!

Finally, in addition to being National Grammar Day, please be aware that today is ALSO National Pound Cake Day. This seems a little bit not-PC, but since I lean heavily towards not-PC, I’ll participate. I’m going to get a cake, and beat the snot out of it.
