Many mountain residents may have recently noticed large light board signs indicating major work is coming to Highway 18. Being placed at various points across the mountain, these signs have generated much discussion as to the upcoming project.
Caltrans has indicated that this is an asphalt paving project. The exact location of the paving to be done has not yet been released. Replacement of some outer guardrails is also on the agenda.
