FAQ OF THE DAY BIG BEAR PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS

🚨FAQ of the day!!!🚨🔥 Question: Why does it matter if there is a delay in response times? Answer: The American Heart Association states that brain deterioration starts between four and six minutes after a person stops breathing. The average 911 response time for BBFA is 9 minutes and 20 seconds. For fire, it should be 5 minutes, and for EMS calls, it should be 4 minutes. Even a one-minute delay in response time increases mortality rates. Due to the lack of adequate property tax funding, there are times when BBFA emergency responders (firefighters) are not available to respond to your 911 calls for help. The Fire Department had 112 of these situations (called level zero draw-downs) in 2018 in which no personnel were available to respond to the next call. This can only be corrected with additional personnel and apparatus. 🚒🚑🚨🔥 #BBPFA #bigbear #welcometo7000feet #yesonmeasurei #helpushelpyou #service #duty #commitment #fire #ems #emt #paramedic #paramedicine #firefighters #firefightersdaily #march3rd2020 #ballot
