At 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday morning, June 19th, a call went into 911 dispatchers reporting that a vehicle had just crashed through his neighbor’s yard and slammed into his fence. The location given was the 300 block of Country Club Drive in Big Bear City.

Emergency crews arriving on scene found a green Chevy Blazer with no engine, no hood, and missing the entire front clip. There was no occupant in this vehicle at the time of the crash. It took officials at the scene a couple of minutes to figure out exactly what happened based on bystander statements.

According to the reporting party, he heard a large crashing noise and came out to find the vehicle crashed into the fence. CHP stated a white van from across the street had hit the green Blazer. The white van was reportedly left in neutral and was able to build up enough of its own momentum to roll away and crash into the green Blazer. The Blazer had no engine or transmission and was being worked on. The collision between the two vehicles sent the Blazer rolling across the street, through the yard, and into the fence.

The owner of the vehicles removed them on their own and no tow truck was needed. Its unknown if either vehicle had insurance and who is responsible for the damage caused. There were no injuries reported, and this collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
