Driver Leaves the Scene After Colliding With a Vent

At 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18th, a traffic collision involving a single vehicle occurred on the corner of Spring Water and Lake Drive in the city of Crestline. A call went out to 911 dispatch reporting a solo vehicle that had sheared a vent. The caller was unsure whether or not the occupants were injured.

The silver, two-door sedan had lost control, hit the vent head on, and landed on top of it. When San Bernardino County Fire 25 and California Highway Patrol arrived on scene, the occupants of the vehicle were nowhere to be found. During the investigation, Highway Patrol was able to locate the driver. it is unclear as to what charges the driver will face. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. This is an ongoing investigation at this time.
