Beat the heat with this no-bake treat that just screams summer dessert. Just don’t let all that ooey, gooey chocolate melt! You can use any variety of chocolate candy for this dessert; mini peanut butter cups, chocolate covered malt balls, chocolate covered caramels, broken up candy bars…whatever it is, it’ll be chocolaty goodness!

Chocolate Candy Trifle Recipe

Ingredients:

4 cups milk

2 – 4 oz. packages of chocolate instant pudding mix

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 angel food cake – prebaked

16 oz. chocolate candy of choice

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and the pudding mix for 2 minutes (or according to box directions, if different). Place the mixing bowl in the refrigerator for 5 minutes, until the pudding is soft set.

Meanwhile, cut up the angel food cake (available at your local market bakery section) into 1” cubes.

Using a hand beater or stand mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.

In a large glass bowl (or trifle dish, if you have one), begin layering in this order: First, a layer of angel food cake cubes, then pudding, whipped cream, and candy. Repeat the layers, and, if desired, top with chocolate sprinkles. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, and serve cold.
