Just before 12:30 p.m. California Highway Patrol received a 911 call indicating that two bicyclists were down on Highway 18.
Emergency crews responded and were blocking the southbound lanes of Highway 18 near 13 curves, which is the curvy part of 18 between Green Valley Lake Road and Snow Valley Ski Resort.
According according to witnesses at the scene one patient was being treated for injuries.
This is amidst the Tour de Big Bear bicycle event where thousands of register to protect in a bicycling events from Highway 38 to Highway 18. Motorists are asked to use caution today when traveling in the Big Bear area.
