At 3:55 p.m. A call came into 911 to report a truck and trailer traveling eastbound on highway 18 just east of Paradise way Big Bear City. The trailer allegedly lost a lug nut that flew off. The bouncing lug nut hit the front of a Bear Valley School district bus as it passing by in the other direction. The front windshield protected the driver but the windshield was broken.
At the time of this incident there were no children on the bus. There were no injuries reported. California highway patrol was on scene taking a report. There is no further information available at this time.
