Weather Report – 3/26/19

Good Morning.
Today will be another nice day across the mountain. Onshore flow will pick up later today with temperatures close to yesterday’s and adding a few high clouds. Off of the Northern West Coast of California and Oregon, a large area of Low pressure has been sitting over the Pacific for several days. This will begin to move onshore later today bringing rain to the West Coast of NorCal later today. As this area of Low pressure moves onshore, it will weaken, so most of the energy will stay North of SoCal.

We will pick up some high clouds and a 15% chance for some sprinkles late Wednesday night into Thursday early morning. Midnight to around 7am Thursday will be our best chance. Temperatures will cool off for the next few days as the Low passes through the area. Gusty winds will develop across the area on and off until Friday when a Ridge of High pressure will begin to build over the SoCal region. This will bring much warmer temperatures to all of SoCal for the weekend and into the first part of next week. So it looks like we will close out March like a lamb.

Then for April, as it looks this morning, we could see a pattern change one more time for the period of the 5th through around the ~10th. The long range outlook shows a possible change in the pattern to a wet pattern for that time frame. So enjoy the great Spring weather as Mother Nature is not done with us yet!
