One Transported to the Hospital After Units Respond to Structure Fire in Big Bear

On March 14th, 2019, a call went into 911 dispatch reporting a structure fire in Big Bear City. It was 11:39 a.m. when the original call came in. The caller reported the incident on the 800 block of East Elysian Blvd.

Big Bear Fire Department arrived on scene to find light smoke showing from the residence. Upon investigation they found a couch in fire in the home with one patient suffering from smoke inhalation. Fire crews put fire out with out any further damage to the structure.

One patient was transported to a nearby hospital. The cause for the fire is under investigation at this time. At this time there are no details to release regarding the type or severity of injuries suffered by the male occupant.
