Icy Roadways Possible Cause in Big Bear Collision

At 7:25 PM on March 8th, 2019 a two vehicle traffic collison occurred on Big Bear Blvd and Teal lane in Big Bear City.

A maroon Ford sedan and green Jeep SUV collided on Big Bear Blvd. Occupants of the vehicles were visiting the area from Rancho Cucamonga and San Diego.

One party was transported by Medic Ambulance 282 to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The exact nature and extent of the patients injuries are unknown at this time.

The California highway patrol is conducting the accident investigation. The cause for the crash is unknown at this time although it is notable that there was black ice in the area.
