Two Fires Quickly Extinguished on Highway 330

On 5/9/18, at approximately 8:41 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of smoke showing in two locations on Highway 330.

The first location was near the lower passing lane and the second location was near the middle passing lane between mile marker 38 and 39.

Bystanders reported that citizens were working to put the fires out. Shortly thereafter fire Crews were visible on scene performing mop-up operations.

Fire Crews were also witnessed in various locations along the 330 after the incidents occurred.

The total acreage of the burns and the cause of the fires are unknown at this time.
