Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:

05/0892018.
Good Morning.

Temperatures around the area were pretty warm yesterday. Valley of the Moon in Crestline, had the warmest temperature at 85*. Today will be another warm day with temperatures about the same as yesterday’s. Highs today will be in the upper 70s to low 80s for all areas. Fog and low clouds have moved onshore along the coast due to a Coastal Eddy.
These clouds will stay there this morning but will spread further Inland each day beginning tomorrow, and through the weekend as the onshore flow strengthens.
An area of Low pressure will move into the Great Basin Friday. This will draw the Marine layer into the Inland Empire with fog along the Western slopes and possibly along the local Hwys for Friday night and through the weekend. Temperatures will cool substantially beginning tomorrow. By Saturday, the daytime highs will be in the low to mid 60s for the mountain locations. Due to the deepening Marine layer, drizzle along the lower levels of the local HWYs can be expected Friday night through the weekend.
The Marine layer will be slow to clear if at all, in the Valleys, and to the Coast over the weekend. Gusty South West winds from 5-15mph will develop beginning Friday evening. Stronger gusts will be likely in the wind prone areas over the weekend. Overnight lows for Friday through Sunday will be in the 40s so if you jumped ahead on planting vegies outside, you’ll need to watch the outdoor temps as we may see some areas drop into the 30s. That’s it for today. RC
