At 8:17pm, the CHP responded to reports of a vehicle into the mountain.
The location given was southbound Highway 18, North of Panorama Point. The vehicle, a black Mercedes Benz, had struck the hillside after colliding with the guardrail.
The number two lane was blocked for a short time during the vehicle recovery. The driver was not injured and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
