At 7:45 this morning, units responded to multiple reports of fire visible from above the Narrows section of Highway 18 between the Crestline Bridge and Hortencia’s Restaurant. The fire was actually burning on Great View Drive in Skyland and it took a few minutes for emergency crews to find the locations and arrive.
The burning logs and adjacent brush was quickly extinguished by units from San Bernardino County Fire, Cal Fire, US Forest Service Fire as well as units from Prescott and Phoenix Arizona.
The fire did not cause damage to any homes and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
