On 5/1/18, at 1:35 p.m., National Weather Service issued the following weather advisory for the San Bernardino Mountains.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO
11 AM PDT WEDNESDAY ABOVE 5500 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3
inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches, are expected.
Higher amounts will be in heavier showers.

* WHERE...Mountains above 5500 ft.

* WHEN...8 PM today to 11 AM Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for slippery road conditions
and reduced visibilities at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
