The mountain community came out in force on Thursday to SkyPark At Santa’s Village to show their love and support for Kerry Griffiths, a longtime resident on the mountain and Emergency Room Nurse at Mountains Community Hospital. Kerry has treated thousands of patients, and now finds herself in need of medical care that she so compassionately has given.

In June of this year, Kerry was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is hard to detect and can be very aggressive. Unfortunately the disease and treatment have not allowed Kerry to work. Both Kerry, and her husband Tim, are spending countless hours going back and forth to the City of Hope for doctor appointments.

She has been there for so many people, and the fundraiser for her was an opportunity for more than 50 of her friends, family, co-workers, and perfect strangers to show how much Kerry means to them at “A Night for Kerry SkyPark at Santa’s Village”. They were treated to live entertainment from Acoustics With Adam. SkyPark generously donated all of the proceeds from the entry fee to Kerry.

Kerry has a long road ahead of her. If you were not able to attend the event but wish to donate, a GoFundMe has been set up and can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/5otz3qw
