Here is an overview of our Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza: FRIDAY, AUGUST 31st - Summer Concert Series and Farmers Market continues Farmer’s Market from 5-9pm Concert on the Beach Club Deck from 6-9:30 – Featuring “The Breakfast Club”. This 80’s tribute band is sure to bring flashbacks of fun! Entry is free but guests are strongly encouraged to dress up and be entered in our “Best 80’s Costume Contest”. The winner receives an Annual Family Beach Pass for the 2019 Swim Season here at Lake Gregory. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST – Labor Day Luau Beach Club Deck - 7:00-10:00pm Na Pualei Ohana, “the cherished family”, will take you on an unforgettable visual journey through the islands of Polynesia. Dancers dazzle you with colorful costuming, songs and dances from the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, and New Zealand, culminating in the highlight of the Samoan chief doing his warrior’s fire knife dance. Extraordinary menu by featured Chef Pat Alfaro: Fresh Fruit Platter Centerpiece Whole Roasted Pig Huly Huly Grilled Chicken Vegetable Egg Rolls with Dipping Sauce Baby Greens with Papaya and a Banana Dressing Fried Island Rice with Pineapple Hawaiian Style Macaroni Salad Wok Stir Fried Vegetables Hawaiian Rolls with Honey Butter Beverages: – Hawaiian Punch – Tropical Ice Tea – Passion Fruit Infused Water – Signature adult refreshments will be available for purchase at the bar. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND - Tacos & Tunes 5:30-9:30 – Beach Club Deck Taco bout fun! Our Tacos & Tunes event always boasts the most delicious combination of amazing gourmet tacos with live music on our Beach Club deck. This year we are so proud to host the band Little Bear Valley Blues along with Streetwise Tacos. The music of Little Bear Valley blues is energietic and fun, and Streetwise Tacos offers flavor combinations that will have you remembering their food for years! MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD On this last day of our 2018 Swim Season, we will be hosting our famed Lake Gregory Annual Sand Sculpture Competition. This year this memorable event will take place from 10-3pm our South Shore just past our water slides. Up to 12 groups may be entered. Entry into the contest is free. Registration opens up onsite on a first come, first serve basis at 10am when the park opens. Judging will begin promptly at 3pm and results will be read at 3:30pm. Prizes will be awarded to the top entry in each category. Prizes will be awarded for the top contestants in these three categories: - Wild Animals - Mysteries of the Deep - Food Fun Happy Labor Day to everybody and we hope to see you there!
