At 11:15 am, California Highway Patrol dispatch received a 911 call reporting a solo vehicle accident. The vehicle, for unknown reasons, veered off the highway while traveling downbound on highway 18 across from the Red Rock Wall Monument. There were no injuries reported. CHP dispatched Mountain Auto service to recover the vehicle. Down bound Highway 18 was blocked for a short time while the tow truck removed the vehicle. By 12:10 pm, the roadway was clear and open.
