Today’s Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Good Morning.
Today we should see an increase in clouds and Thunderstorm activity across the local area. A couple of Easterly waves will pass through SoCal over the next 48 hours. This will increase the chances for thunderstorms as well as the chances for showers over the mountains today, overnight, and through tomorrow.
Precipital water levels will be on the increase through the period which will help to destabilize the atmosphere as well as add to the chances for “measureable” precipitation locally. Big Bear, Forest Falls, Green Valley Lake, along with the Desert areas will have the best chance for T-Storms and possible Flash Flooding, so use caution in those areas. There is a chance that we may see some activity in the Elsinore, Banning and Hemet areas as well, which usually brings rain and storms to the Valley as well as Crestline.
So basically we may see widespread T-Storms at any time over the next two days. On the longer range outlook, beginning Thursday, High pressure will strengthen over the West to around 598dm which will bring much warmer temperatures for later this week and all of next week. So enjoy the cooler weather as its going to get hot. That’s it for today. Enjoy! RC
