LAKE ARROWHEAD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LAUNCHES THE “I LOVE LAKE ARROWHEAD” TOURISM PROMOTION CAMPAIGN

ESCAPE. RELAX. EXPLORE.

Lake Arrowhead, CA June 2018 – An integrated tourism marketing campaign was recently launched for the mountain communities of Lake Arrowhead. Outdoor advertising (“billboards”) drives traffic to a new, official tourism website www.ilovelakearrowhead.com, to guide visitors to their custom experience. Social media and print advertising reinforce the branding.

The campaign promotes Lake Arrowhead’s unique positioning as a four-season resort.
Nestled in the mountains of the San Bernardino National Forest at a mile-high altitude, the area is host to majestic views, famous hikes and four lakes.

Lake Arrowhead has been a resort oasis since early settlers. The magnificent
landscape and proximity to Los Angeles has attracted film-makers and over 150 movies
were made here. Far from the paparazzi, Lake Arrowhead became the “backyard playground of the stars” during the 1930’s Hollywood Glamour-era.

It’s closer than you think. Lake Arrowhead is a magical place to enjoy Alpine lakes in
Summer and journey from “surf to snow” in Winter within 90 miles of Southern California
coastal areas. Fall brings the crisp mountain air and colors of changing leaves. Spring is
filled with daffodils, dogwoods and wildflowers in bloom. Nature and exploration are
constant through all seasons.
The billboards are strategically located on some of the most densely traveled freeways:
91 freeway, I-215, I-10 and I-15.

The nostalgic billboard illustration makes drivers smile. Catch a glimpse of the billboards
and bring back happy childhood memories of visiting the family cabin. Nature thrills with
outdoor adventures.

The Tourism Promotion Campaign is made possible by funding from a Chamber-County
Partnership Program approved by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors
after Second District Supervisor Janice Rutherford championed the program restart after it was phased out in 2012.

The Chamber of Commerce works closely to leverage global marketing efforts with the
