On 06-16-2020 at approximately 1445 hours, a 14 year old male was driving a motorized scooter (without a helmet) northbound approaching the intersection of Big Tree Drive and Sherwood Drive. A 21 year old male was driving a 2014 Honda CRV westbound on Sherwood Drive. For unknown reasons, the 14 year old driver entered the intersection without stopping at a posted stop sign. The 14 year old male was struck by the Honda. The impact caused the 14 year old male to be ejected from the motorized scooter onto the north shoulder of Sherwood Drive. 14 year old male sustained a leg fracture and multiple contusions and abrasions. 14 year old male was transported by airship to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
