Big Bear City Accident sends one to the Hospital

At 5:29 PM on Friday afternoon a 3 vehicle chain reaction traffic collison occurred on Big Bear Blvd (Highway 38) just west of Paradise. A white Tacoma was rear ended by a blue Subaru and the Subaru was rear ended by a black Ford F-150. The call was reported in multiple locations which caused confusion for first responders arriving on scene. Medic ambulance 282 and medic engine 282( Big Bear City) arrived on scene to multiple patients requiring care. Medic engine 283( Sugarloaf) also arrived on scene due to the location being reported in different areas.One person was transported to Bear Valley Hospital with minor injuries. The second patient signed AMA (against medical advice) on scene and denied transport. All the vehicles suffered minor to moderate damage. San Bernardino County Sheriff blocked off both directions of the Blvd until vehicles were removed by A Performace Tow. During the closure a secondary accident occurred on County Club Blvd where traffic was being diverted. Two vehicles collided. California Highway Patrol will be handling both accidents.
