Wild Turn Of Events One Arrested

On January 11th during a road closure relating to a two vehicle traffic accident on Big Bear Blvd just east of Stanfield Cutoff. A white GMC Sierra Approched the road closure smelling like alchohol and using profanity at the deputy simply doing his job. The deputy then ordered the driver out of his vehicle and the driver sped away going North on Stanfield. The driver then made a right turn on North Shore and crashed shortly after into the side of the Mountain. The truck subsequently lost its driver side tire and continued to drive. Numerous 911 calls went in to chp reporting this vehicle driving with out the wheel and sparks coming from the Suspension. This vehicle drove quite a distance considering it didnt have a tire. The San Bernardino Sheriff put out a broadcast to chp. The vehicle was located with the driver in a neighborhood in Sugarloaf. Deputies made contact with the driver and detained him. While in cuffs the driver fought with officers. Team work between agencies were able to get this driver booked and off to jail with out any injuries. It is unclear what charges the driver faced.
