At 9:48 p.m. on June 8th, 2018, the California Highway Patrol received a 911 call requesting medical aid on Highway 18 at Lower Bonnie Bridge. This is about a mile past the fruit and honey stand at Upper Waterman Canyon Road.
Reportedly, a motorist was involved in an accident in San Bernardino. As he tried to drive his damaged vehicle up the mountain, it stalled out in the turnout.
The motorist called for a tow truck. Mountain Auto Service was dispatched. When the driver arrived, he found the motorist going in and out of consciousness on the shoulder of the turnout.
The Mountain Auto Service driver summoned Medical Aid for the injured motorist. He was treated for injuries at the scene and transported to Saint Bernardine’s Medical Center. According to officials of the scene he suffered minor injuries to his head and face.
