A sizable gathering around a large bonfire was observed. Fire personnel requested a fire permit from patrons. They were unable to produce one. Fire Fighters grabbed a water hose and extinguished the fire. While fire personnel were extinguishing the fire, a few of the guests grabbed the fire hose and tried pulling it away but were unsuccessful. They were yelling and screaming at fire fighters. At one point guests were holding each other back from fighting. Cal Fire arrived on scene. More arguing could be heard from a distance. Open fires that produce embers are not permitted in the San Bernardino Mountains. It is unclear if they were issued a citation.
