The Foodie Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, August 4th, at the Twin Peaks Senior Center, beginning at 3 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Provider, an organization that, “Fills tables and hearts by providing food, clothing, utility assistance, referrals, emergency assistance, holiday meals, a warm smile, a shoulder to cry on, and a lending hand to families in the San Bernardino mountain communities.”

Operation Provider is the largest food bank in the mountains, and since its establishment in 1989, has distributed more than 250,000 boxes of weekly groceries to those in need. The organization is completely staffed by volunteers, and they serve 13 San Bernardino mountain communities. They also offer disaster relief services during natural and economic disasters.

On the menu for this fabulous Foodie Fundraiser are pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, served with coleslaw, BBQ baked beans, and chips, followed by strawberry shortcake. Helping others has never tasted so good. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward feeding hungry families, providing children with back-to-school supplies, and other services provided by Operation Provider. The cost per plate is $10, and children under the age of three are free. Come out to the Twin Peaks Senior Center on Sunday and show your support.
