In a July 15 press release, Caltrans announced the upcoming closure of Highway 330. The closure will be a full, 24-hour closure, beginning on September 9, 2019 and scheduled to be completed on September 23, 2019. The project includes rock scaling, slope excavations, and construction of two rock-fall barriers. The crews will also be removing rock debris from the slope and reducing the slope size.

Caltrans would like to remind us all to be advised that weather may have some effect on the planned operation, and that delays to completion may be unavoidable. They urge commuters to stay informed by going to Caltrans District 8 and registering for commuter alerts, as well as following them on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.

In the same press release, Caltrans announced possible delays on the 330 near postmile 37 and 39 on July 17, however, the work was actually conducted today, July 16th. Luckily, it is reported that the drainage installation performed today did not affect traffic at all.
