TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Today will likely be the warmest day of the next five. The Ridge of High pressure that has brought fairly warm temperatures to the local area will move East today and be replaced by a weak Trough centered to the North of SoCal. This will increase the onshore flow starting Tuesday and help to deepen the Marine layer over the next few days. Temperatures will be cooler Tuesday through Thursday as the Trough moves through to our North. We will have occasional gusty SW winds through the period mainly during the evenings.
..Then by Saturday, High pressure will move into the South West raising temperatures and possibly humidity levels as well. Although there is not any Monsoonal Moisture associated with this Sub Tropical High pressure initially, we may see some around July 4th. Also a Tropical Disturbance off of the Southern Tip of Baja is likely to strengthen into a Tropical Storm in a couple days. So we may see something from that later this week or early next week as well.
..As far as El Nino goes, we are still considered to be in a weak El Nino State for ENSO region 3.4(our area). The waters for our region are still running about 1*c, +or- above normal for this time of year. The above average SST’s (Sea Surface Temperatures) are expected to continue through the Summer months as is the El Nino State. For more information on the current El Nino cycle, check the El Nino page on the drop down menu. Enjoy.
..Have a good day and weekend. RC @ www.lakegregoryweather.com.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake.
